    K. Rajesh Naik’s practice emerges from the vibrant streets of Hyderabad’s Old City, where his early life as an autorickshaw driver exposed him to the city’s raw energy and diverse characters. These experiences continue to shape his visual language.

Influenced by the vivid colors of the Lambada community and his mother’s intricate embroideries, Naik developed a strong sense of detail and color. His artistic journey was nurtured by mentors like Rajeswara Rao and Laxma Goud, and further refined during his Master’s at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.

His work, which he calls “Naik City,” reflects a dynamic world of street life, memory, and identity-expressed through bold compositions and experimental materials.

Through his practice, Naik captures the humor, chaos, and resilience of everyday life. His work blurs the line between personal history and collective experience. By using unconventional mediums, he challenges traditional artistic boundaries. Today, his art stands as a powerful reflection of lived reality and evolving identity.
