Madhuri generally uses primary colours and hundreds of minute strokes in her paintings to capture the mood and light and colour of natural vistas. Her work strives to capture the mood of a moment as well as the transient effects of light and colour. Colourful effervescence infuses this world with life.
Reflecting on her work Madhuri says “ as form dissolves in abstracts, colour takes on a fundamental importance”. She uses vivid colours to capture the essence of sunsets and the earth in all its glory. She makes these elements come alive as she manipulates them with magic.
